Wii not challenging 360 or PS3
The Nintendo Wii is not even trying to challenge the 360 or PS3. They have told us that. They have decided to go a different direction trying to capture the "casual gamer" or attract new gamers altogether. The graphics are only marginally better than the last generation. They have decided to try something different and it is working out very well for them.
If you are a serious gamer and like playing intense 1st person shooting games or appreciate state of the art graphics than the PS3 and XBox 360 is the natural choice. So wake up and stop comparing the Wii to the next generation. Nintendo is doing great and good for them. Sony has blu-ray technology that will be replacing DVD's in the next few years and that is making it very expensive. This was their choice and cannot expect to be able to compete in sales until the price of Blu-ray players go down. At 499 the PS3 is a steal.
