Wii will rock you

The Wii is the best console out on the market. Sony fanboys, face it, gameplay trumps graphics. Just because it looks pretty doesn't make it the best. It's about the gameplay: how it controls, how it plays, if it's fun. These are the things that define a game. I will admit that Xbox 360 and PS3 do beat the Wii when it comes to online features, but the thing about Wii is that all of it's internet features are free! PS3 geeks, again, will say "oh, you don't have to pay for PS3 online stuff, it's free, too!" Fact is, it's not. Sony gives developers a choice of wether or not to charge for playing their games online, and since servers aren't free, chances are, you'll be paying up. Another thing Wii has that the other consoles don't have is pure innovation. Ever heard of Gunpey Yokoi? He was a designer at Nintendo before he died. His philosophy was Lateral Thinking of Withered Technology. Baisicly, it supported using old technology in new and powerful ways. He came up with the Game Boy, which won the handheld wars way back when because of it saved power by using a monochromatic screen, instead of full color. Even after death, Gunpey has continued to influence the industry. His philosophy is the backbone of the Wii and the DS. DS: we've had touch recognition technology for years, but it's never been implemented in gaming because everyone was looking at something else. The same thing is with the Wii. Motion sensing technology has been around for years as well, and the only other console that used it was the PS2 with the Eye Toy. However, since everyone was used to using a controller, Eye Toy didn't take off, and utterly failed. The Wii is an innovation, and for years to come, developers will always look to the Wii for inspiration on how to make their games and consoles innovative and exciting.
