Nintendo to Reinvigorate Video Game Market

Reggie had a great interview with AOL talking about the Wii and what Nintendo hopes to accomplish. The best part is about how families can play games together again.

All those people that have left the video game market, have done so because it has become so complicated and solitary. Even playing other people online means you are still in a room by yourself.

The social interaction is much greater with the Wii, playing and experiencing a game together. You will be able to share your game experiences with others whom you care about.

I think game parties will be more fun, more inclusive. I, personally, will be able to invite friends over to play the Wii I would have never had over for a Halo party or a LAN party. I will be able to play more games with my wife and kids (someday when I have kids).

The Wii helps people be more social, and more inclusive. More people will be in the video game market and more people will be having fun.
