PSP->superior?
I just had to talk about your last statement saying that the PSP is superior to the Nintendo DS.
I got the PSP when I graduated from my brother and I was so into the look and feel and the massive technology I've been hearing about. Sure thing it goes online, yay, easier to link with my pc and a keyboard. So I went out and forked another $150 for a game and a memory card, all the things that I needed to make the thing work. At this point I started to get a feeling of how expensive this device was even when I didn't pay for the initial console. It has some really cool features. It's not quite small enough to be an effective mp3 player even though it has those features, and it isn't a very good movie player, since most people aren't on rode trips that often to use that feature over throwing something into your dvd player at home.
Lastly the games are great looking. I went out and bought the highest ranked game on Gamespot, Daxter. The game looked amazing, however the objective was to swat flies, which left the game from being any fun. I could play for about ten minutes and then become exceedingly bored. So I craved for a good game to come out, but it never happened. They had retarded versions of the actual games like GTA and MGS which were horrible renditions of the PS2 greats. Which leaves the PSP this powerful little device that nobody has taken advantage of yet. I know it's already as big as its screen, but if they could somehow make it smaller, even at the expense of the large screen, turn it into an all purpose device that people could use, then I think they would have something.
This is what Sony has become recently. They have followed this same path of destruction with the PS3. They have this powerful device that nobody has taken advantage of. We are all sitting on the edge of our seats and seeing if they ever really will, but only time will tell and so far it hasn't.
