Ps3 is NOT the most expensive console (xbox360 is)...

Look at it this way ps3 includes:

blu-ray drive and already better graphics (many have said it and sony has done it AGAIN).  Also, the costs to develop will now be a lot smaller considering the 20 gig was discontinued and little things like the psp going up in sales 300% help a bit too with sony making the move forward.  (psp will play a big help in things like playstation home.)

total cost of the ps3 : $600 USD plus whatever games and add-ons you want (extra controllers).

600 * .0775 = 46.50 and new total is $646.50 USD (with tax)

XBOX 360 costs:

Console: $399.99 USD

HD-DVD Drive: $199.99 (and the total already is even with sony)

Wireless Add-on: $99.99

xbox Live membership: "silver" is free but you cannot play online...which makes you wonder why an online membership would even be needed for something like that.

and for 1 year of online play the cost is.... $49.99

total cost for xbox is: 400 + 200 + 100 + 50 = $750 USD (without tax of course)

 whichwith tax would be 750 * .0775 = 58.12 bringing total up to $808.12 USD

keep in mind this is just to get even with the PS3 and again you would still need to buy you games, controllers, and then you get to paint all over your brand new console with "skins" which no one likes unless you want something to say.  and dont forget about that power brick which is almost bigger then the freakin' console itself

and now for the wii...

let me make this clear.  the six axis is NOT just left to right or forward and back it has "six" axis of movement JUST LIKE THE WII.  not to mention with games like mlb 2k6 where you can swing high or low by shoving the controll in an upward/downward arc.  yes the wii will have things like pitching but hell.  who doesnt love the whole button and controller thing in fps games (which im hearing are pretty big).

one last thing, yes the grammar sucks who cares you get my point, and dont forget about the whole PC thing.  within 6 months PC's will have dx10 cards (minimum 512 onboard memory) and 2 cpu's up to 4 video cards and a hell of a lot of heat but it will be energy efficient aparently. 

ok so the wii, big hooplah of crap which just mimics the pc and everyone will hate because you can only play so many different rhythm games and ssx is only fun for how long.  yeah sure you have to hook up the right controller for a different game but hey all i have to do is plug mine in push a button and enjoy, right?

as for the games, seriously the ps3 is only going to develop and get better.  heres a link to some video's that kind of prove this point.  a little thing called pshome is coming and ooh my does it make everything else look like crap. (dont forget to check out the hall of fame)
