Unique features have peaked my interest

Third-party titles on the Wii have been lacking in the unique features category, which was the same with the first year of the DS, but now it looks like Sega might be the first to venture into uncharted territory on the Wii.

Since Madden used real world weather (which I was quite impressed that EA came up with that idea), there hasn't been much use of the Forecast Channel, even by Nintendo. But now Sega is looking to use it to change weather and seasons in Nights 2 using the Forecast Channel. This sounds like an excellent use of one of the Wii's features.

Another one they are looking at exploiting is the Wii connect 24, so you can exchange items with friends using Nintendo's network. This is a great addition to what is obviously not a good multiplayer game, but inspires you to work with friends over the internet.

I think Sega has learned the good and not so good things they did with Sonic for the Wii, and they can take those lessons to create a better game. Hopefully, Sega can pull this game off and finally have a third-party runaway success for the Wii.
