Pro: Xbox 360 Elite
This is excellent
It's very encouraging to see Microsoft improve the Xbox 360 over time, especially the hard drive size. More and more people will want this console and a new better version just ups the ante.
A bigger hard drive should be a no brainer for anyone. Compared to how much more content they will have on Xbox Live and increasing file sizes, gamers will need more and more space to download new content. And if gamers have more space, Microsoft will sell more content.
HDMI is also a great addition because it keeps better pace with the technology of the PS3. The PS3 looks less and less of a good buy when the 360 is so close in graphics capability, and when the 360 has a much larger library of games.
Some obsessed gamers will want the limited edition black version, but I think it is more important what Microsoft has added to the console. Even if a person already owns a 360, they can trade-in or sell it for money for the new model.
