Ganon

Ganon is the ultimate video game villain. He spans multiple Zeldas on multiple platforms and it is always a let down if he does not appear in a Zelda title.

Ganon's evil knows no bounds and apparently cannot be killed. He is that ultimate evil that wages against the forces of good for all eternity. The best boss battle of any video game was at the end of Ocarina of Time when after the castle collapses, Ganondorf breaks through the castle remains and transforms (for the first time in the story line) into Ganon, the true evil form of the dark wizard. The battle that followed was epic with lightning crashing above and the double-bladed Ganon towered over Link. And even when he was beaten, Zelda and the seven sages needed to use magic to trap him in another realm, because Ganon could not be killed.

Ganon is the best video game villain, I'm not sure if anyone else even comes close.
