Pro: Video Game Violence
It has a place
Violence has a place in games, just as it has in films, Games is just another outlet for art, and violence, sex, basically all emotions we have as humans are apart of life. Bouncing on vegetables and mushrooms is all well and good, but not for ppl 14 and beyond. I'm only interested in games which A) Either provide a great deal of creativity to the player or B) have a compelling and immersive story. I'm sorry, but I don't get immersed in Halo, MGS, or final fantasy, or deus ex, or NWN on the other hand. The effect that video game violence has on the young generation is deeply overexaggerated, and the most of the time, the group of young ppl they talk about, ie below 9, should have nothing to do with say something like the resident evil series. That's my 2 cents anyway, I know a lot of ppl dont think like this, what with the success so far of the Wii...
