Con: Should you buy a PSP Slim?

Frankly no, you shouldn't.
While the PS3 may have a pretty firm standing as far as games go, the PSP lacks good games. It's pretty much moot to buy a PSP Slim as well, since the only real useful purpose of a PSP now is for homebrew applications, and the PSP Slim fixes the exploits used to launch them, effectively destroying any usefulness of the console at all.
