Not changing Much is the Key

I see what you saying but at the time not changing does not mean it wont live up too its hype, in reality it could possibly just be a updated version of melee with a few extra stuff including online play as you say, but some times just updating a game pays off , if fans know exactly what their getting it means many wont be are disapointed if something was drasticly changed, for example a SF going to 3D, its just not the same, not the best of examples but theres other games what try and change its self for the the better but in the process only making things worse, cant think of any others right now.

Games which live up to hype but dont change much though

Halo series 

PES on ps2 now soon to be released on PS3 and 360, not much has changed

Ridger racer, gameplay hardly changes, latest element being the nintrous 

 Final fantasies, didnt change drasticly really until FF12

Along with many more,The list goes on.
