Counters: PS3 will overtake Wii in Q4 2007
Not Going to Happen
Although the PS3 is technologically superier to the Wii, it doesn't reach to the masses as well and the only way Sony could compete with the hype of the Wii is to decrease its prices massively or decrease prices and bundle more with it. Nintendo has been selling all of its Wii units as fast as they can be produced and since its fanbase is rekindling the older generations as well as created new gamers, it seems unlikely that the PS3 with is more of a tech-oriented person and extremely loyal fanbase would touch it.
