GameStop Ethics

First, it is well within their legal right to fire them. Its not discrimination(race, gender, etc.), neither are they breaking any sort of established employee contract(Work for X months, make Y money). Its a private company, they can fire people whenever they want if they feel they have a good reason.



Furthermore, Selling PS3's online could be perceived by GameStop as a Conflict of Interest. If Gamestop employees got any sort of preferential treatment in acquiring PS3's (not just price, but when they could get it), then they have an advantage, and using that advantage to make loads of money of Ebay is most assuredly a Conflict of Interest.



Makes quite alot of sense for them to threaten this actually.
