a bit optimistic

well, i doubt FFXIII will be huge. while it will be popular, the impact will be greatly overshadowed by sales of halo3, ssbb and mgs4 (im multiplatforming here, i know.) the truth seems to be that although they have created a niche for themselves, they are no longer the "new and innovating" gaming company of this generation.

to clear things up, being the new guy is a BIG DEAL. Its the social impact of a new meme. As there's an observable social scramble to be in on whatevers new. So while ive played most the FF games(excluding X, 10-2, and 12) and loved them dearly; a new FF doesnt really spark my interest. In my opinion they're overliving the title, reaping it for all its worth until its not profitable anymore. which on a strictly financial standpoint is logical, it doesnt make for innovative gaming.

tl;dr- I have no intention of buying XIII because the franchise seems boring and cliche to me, dispite the fact each game has completely a completely different story (excluding X and 10-2).
