there is not a huge difference between 1080i and 1080p you dip****.
Its still the same resolution you no brained nut.
one is interlaced and one is progressive.
to put it simply ;
It is only different in the way the next image comes into view - interlaced weaves two images together first whereas progressive draws the lot again.
PLUS THE XBOX 360 AND THE PS3 BOTH CAN DISPLAY AT 1080p (not just the ps3 as you imply)
1080p is in theory and practice better than 1080i. Allthough at the same time the human eye cannot resolve 1080p images completely at all but does fine with 1080i.
1080i games will run faster that 1080p due to framerate being twice as fast on 1080i.
But trust me both look awesome with no notable differences at all.
PS if you ask any tele salesman which is better your just going to end up buying the most expensive TV in store be it 1080p or 1080i.
