MGS4 to go multiplatform?

According to EGM there is a lot of pressure from Konami to Kojima Productions to bring Metal Gear Solid 4 multi-platform because of rising costs and the fear of low sales of the PS3. This would be good for gamers and Microsoft, but would be very bad for Sony.

Metal Gear Solid has been a major Sony stronghold since the original Playstation. Each iteration has sold well over a million copies and is held as one of the best on their respective systems. Although the game has been ported to other systems, Sony had the exclusive for at least a year. If Konami gets their way, they will probably want a simultaneous multi-platform launch to maximize the advertising returns.

Sony fan-boys may be saying it will never happen, but money talks. If Konami is not assured a profit from putting the game exclusively on the PS3, you can bet that the game will make it to other systems. With the rising cost of next-gen games, not to mention the extra time and effort they put into making a blockbuster such as MGS4, I don't see that they have a choice.
