While I agree that the PS3 thoroughly rocks the ****, I don't believe that you're an MIT student. You mispelled ignorant, the title of your arguement. I understand that it may have been for sarcasm's sake, but all the same, I don't really think it was on purpose.
Also, I have a gamecube. I love the gamecube and the gamecube did NOT have ****ty graphics. It had very good graphics. Better than PS2 at least. Better than XBox...? Ehhh... Not so much... But still it was a fun system, even if good games were few, far inbetween and now hard to find on ebay.
