On the money!
Xbox live alone over the life of the system is enough to bring the price up.
As for the Pro? Its just under $500. And still only comes with HDMI 1.2, while the PS3 has HMDI 1.3
Also the Pro will not play Blu Ray DvD's which is pretty much without a doubt the winner of the "Disk War" (Common only one company exlusively supports HD DvD, and they are about to drop it in favor of Blu-Ray anyways. Blockbuster no longer rents out HD DvDs, and they are even hard to find them in the stores now adays)
Also the DvD only holds 9 gigs, which limits multi platform games on the PS3...
