Con: Playstation 3

Reserve sellouts mean nothing
The Dreamcast sold out on day one and look what ended up happening to Sega. There will always be crazed fanboys who pick a doomed system on Day 1.
The crazed individuals that sat in line over night just to get a reservation for a PS3 is not the mass market mentality. Normal people won't pay $600 for a video game console. Especially a system with no killer launch titles.
Sony seems to be going the way of Sega, except that Sony doesn't have many great software properties that would last on other machines. Looks like Sony is going down.
